Patchwork Exhibition cont...

This beautiful three-paneled wooden screen has an Art Nouveau inspired design.

A wonderful log-cabin quilt depicting a landscape. It looks like Scotland to me. Many different materials were used in this piece.

In this corner of the room we can see a variety of colourful objects including a  hanging quit, a deckchair cover and a waistcoat.

The biggest bunch of bananas I have ever seen, but actually a seat. Isn't it fun?

Another of the containers. The roof of this building lifts off. It's obviously inspired by Islamic design. I like the fine quilting within the windows.

A fairy tale container. This is supposed to be a tiny cradle carved out of a nut. It was about 40cm high. Every detail is beautiful.

A pretty bolster cushion.

This stunning quilt was one of my favourties. I love the subtle choice of colours and complex design that produce this clever shaded effect.  The lamp in front of it is also quilted.

This patchwork and quilting exhibition has now ended. However there are often other exhibitions at this centre from time to time, so do drop by if you are ever in the area.  Here are the details.-

Walford Mill Craft Centre, Stone Lane. Wimborne, Dorset. BH21 1NL. U.K.
