Patchwork Exhibition cont...

Each student has to produce a 'container' as part of the course. This instruction had inspired the students to produce a wide variety of objects. This hen was fun. She would sit on your valuables and keep them warm.

Quite different from some of the other pieces on display, painted silk highlighted with quilting and framed as a picture. A pretty design of fruit, flowers and birds.

Another interesting design, which looks like a Viking ship to me. I could not really capture the subtlety of the design in my photographs, but it was beautiful.

A clever three-dimensional mobile which was hanging from the ceiling and turning by means of a small motor. Modern sparkly materials had been used to create the wonderful colours of the fishes and seaweeds.

A traditional design for this bedcover.

A subtle treatment of this water lily on the big quilt hanging above the bed.

This cushion on the bed features an attractive selection of quilting designs.
